The importance of a global perspective in asset allocation can’t be overstated.

Yet research shows that many plan participants fail to grasp the necessity of participating globally as investors, not are they likely to realize the potential they could miss if they fail to do so.

For an array of reasons, many DC plan participants overweight their portfolios with domestic investments. It’s likely that many U.S. investors simply don’t appreciate the growing need to invest globally, but other factors are also at play.
